The ‘Personal 3D Viewer’ drops you right in the action with OLED featuring high contrast, true-to-life colour and fast response capabilities. Organic panels have a super fast response time of just 0.01 milliseconds, creating a smooth, natural video for fast-moving images, perfect for sports, action-packed movies or video games.
A real cinema style experience
To really replicate the cinema experience, the ‘Personal 3D Viewer’ features an extended viewing angle of 45 degrees. This simulates a real 750-inch movie screen at a virtual viewing distance of 20 metres while the shielding construction creates a deep feeling of immersion. To match the big screen experience Sony have adopted ‘Virtualphones Technology’ delivering a simulated 5.1 surround sound experience. Users will be able to select from four different surround sound modes, including cinema, games, music and standard for a realistic feeling of actually being there. Enhancing the cinema screen-like quality the ‘Personal 3D Viewer gradually lowers the screen’s brightness as your eyes adjust to the darkness.

When Spider-man swings through the crowded streets of New York or Unchartered 3 takes you further into the action, you’ll want to experience everything in High Definition. Organic LED lights (OLEDs) deliver some of the truest, richest pictures around. To create the clearest, most immersive 3D picture, the ‘Personal 3D Viewer’ deploys two independent OLED screens, which display HD video independently, largely eliminating cross-talk and blurring for more comfortable 3D viewing. With OLED displays, pictures are naturally bright, colours are rich and deep and the overall picture is true to the director’s vision.
Designed for comfort
Despite being loaded with features the ‘Personal 3D Viewer’ is lightweight and is customizable and adjustable to fit perfectly. Weighing about the same as a bicycle helmet (420 grams) the headset is adjustable in multiple areas enabling each individual user a unique comfortable experience. Unlike watching regular TV the headset can be used in any position, with your eyeglasses on or off. Adjust the headset, headphones, and lenses, then recline in your favourite position. Support pads and light blockers provide an individualised fit and an immersive feel.
