Mr Vintage is at it again. So is Gisborne apparently. Everyone's had a cheeky laugh at Hamilton once or twice, possibly for a variety of reasons but probably because they're more affectionately known these days as the 'Clap Capital' of the North Island. Well, no more!
The competition for the hotly contested title has been brewing for some time now, with the incumbents Hamilton appearing a tad cocky and letting their standards drop. All year Gisborne teenagers have been working night and day to ensure they dominate – and they’ve now been officially crowned the ‘Clap Capital’ of the North Island
Mr Vintage, a New Zealand t-shirt company notorious for designing topical and Kiwi pop-culture t-shirts, has released a t-shirt with the slogan “Gisborne – Go like the clappers”.
The Gisborne region performed admirably and these figures for sexually transmitted infections (STI’s) tell their own story, with just over 1200 people per 100,000 being infected with Chlamydia.
