Wellington's newest street style arts and craft market prepares to celebrate the end of a great first season!

The Cuba Street Night Market at Kreuzberg Summer Cafe is held between 5-9pm on a Friday night and has been running weekly since before Christmas 2009. Now it is preparing for its summer farewell. The new innovative arts and crafts market on Cuba Street has received a huge amount of support from the Wellington Creative community and the general public for the past 4 months and will show it’s appreciation on Friday the 26th of March (or the next fine Friday thereafter) with an ‘Art Market Extravaganza’! Closing night will combine an extended variety of passionate Wellington artists and renowned Wellington musicians, including members of Olmecha Supreme, for one night of creative celebrations in true Wellington style. This creative platform will showcase Wellington’s finest for all to enjoy!

The closing night on March 26th (or the next fine Friday thereafter) marks the end of a successful first season. The market will continue to be organised and ameliorated over winter and will re-open spring/early summer 2010 with possible mid-winter ‘special events’.

The night market is all about promoting and supporting local artists and showcasing musicians. Visitors to the market have been varied; from all walks of life and the market has been greatly complimented for it’s diversity. Musicians and artists alike have been thrilled with the exposure it provides.

Capturing the unique creative spirit of Cuba Street the Cuba Street Night Market Closing Night will run from 5-9pm on March 26th 2010 (or the next fine Friday thereafter). Special guest musical performances will be played by members of Olmecha Supreme and other renowned Wellington Musicians. Arts will regal, it will be a good time for all Wellingtonians. A family friendly atmosphere ensures the market is a great, relaxed spot for picking up gifts, food lovers can enjoy the range of fine consumables on sale at the market not to mention the delicious organic beer and beautiful tastes on offer at Kreuzberg Café!
