The gates have opened for Big Boys Toys - back full noise after a three year rebuild, with all the energy, noise and gleaming machines that have wowed the crowds for more than a decade.

Fuelled by sunshine over 30,000 plus people are expected to make their way to the ASB Showgrounds today and over the weekend to witness a showcase of the country’s most powerful toys including supercars, V8’s, aquatic craft, insanely fast motorbikes and the latest in gaming technology.
Vehicles on show include New Zealand’s first ever supercar, the Hulme Can-Am Spyder, Bill Ward’s Kiwi A-Salt land speed record breaking rear-engine, supercharged Flathead V8 27T Roadster, the new V8 SuperTourer and Mustang: Through the Years displays.
In the popular Action Arena, visitors can see New Zealand’s biggest names in wakeboarding, FMX, BMX, stunt cars, stunt bikes and strongmen.
Sports internet sensation BMX rider Jed Mildon is back in New Zealand for his first appearance since successfully landing the world’s first triple back flip in May this year. Demon Energy Freestyle Motorcross will thrill audiences with incredible aerial acrobatics, and the Big Ben Stunt Utes will show-off stunning precision driving skills.
Wakeboarding fans will be stoked to see the best in the country demonstrating the sickest wakeboarding tricks in two purpose built Nautiques Wakeboarding pools.
Across the weekend the R.C Helicopter Stunt Show will wow the crowds alongside the Strongman Competition, Drifting and New Zealand’s first Gymhkana car, the Subaru WRX STI driven by New Zealand’s Drift King Carl Ruiterman.
Motorbike lovers will flock to see the 2012 range from Suzuki, alongside the stunning Can Am ATV’s and roadsters. Or for even bigger toys, the Auckland finals of the National Excavator Champs take place across the weekend, with ‘Digger Dancing’, skill challenges and more.
Gaming is a huge attraction worldwide and at Big Boys Toys, visitors will see the latest in controller-free gaming at the Xbox 360 stand including Sports Kinect 2.
And DIY guys can drool over the Bosch showcase of tools, The PowerTool Shop displaying Makita and top quality UK sourced tools for the automotive industry from Laser Tools.
Then when it’s time to put your feet up, the Tui Backyard Public House is the place to happily lose a few hours, with bands, comedians and a stunning view of the Action Arena
